About Ravi
Mr Ravi Mallina is a fellowship trained hand and wrist surgeon working in the NHS and private hospitals across London and Surrey and is committed to providing his patients with the best possible care. He successfully completed the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) accredited diploma in Hand Surgery. He takes a patient-centred approach, taking time to listen to each patient’s concerns and goals, and working with them to develop personalised treatment plan. Mr Mallina uses the latest surgical techniques to provide his patients with the best possible outcomes, while minimising discomfort and downtime. Mr Mallina trained in major trauma centres in the UK (Leeds, Newcastle and Aberdeen) and successfully completed his higher surgical specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics working at various teaching hospitals in South West London and Surrey. He obtained specialist Hand surgery training in UK’s premier hand centres.

He offers patients fracture specific plate fixation of complex distal radius fractures, and provides a holistic approach in treating complex hand and wrist injuries.

Mr Mallina has extensive experience in managing a wide range of hand and wrist conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome and other nerve compressions affecting the upper extremity, arthritis, Dupuytren’s contracture, and overuse injuries of the hand and wrist. He has particular interest in treating sports injuries of the hand and wrist using minimally invasive surgical techniques. Appointment as consultant
Mr Mallina was awarded his Completion of Certificate of Specialist Training(CCST) in 2018 and is on General Medical Council’s specialist register. He then was appointed as consultant Hand & Wrist Surgeon at Croydon Health Services (CHS) NHS Trust
in 2020.
Teaching & Education
Mr Mallina has a wealth of teaching experience, particularly in the field of Hand Surgery. His experience teaching undergraduates, aspiring surgeons, and on cadaveric courses suggests that he has a strong foundation in anatomy and surgical techniques. His experience teaching on FRCS examination courses and being employed as a Surgical College tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons of England indicates that he is well-versed in the current standards and requirements for surgical education and training. Mr Mallina is an educational supervisor for Orthopaedic trainees training in South West London and Surrey, mentoring aspiring next generation Orthopaedic surgeons.
